making and breaking numbers
I was learning that numbers can be made and broken up in to different ways. I found it interesting because I had no idea about making and breaking numbers was pretty easy. Now I plan to use decimals and add it up to my number.
You've added a range of different ways of thinking about the number 18. I was so pleased that you found this activity valuable and practised these at home. It will greatly help your strategy thinking to be able to pull apart numbers in this way.
